A University of Pennsylvania freshmen, Madison had what it seemed the perfect life. She was a young, bright, athletic, pretty and outgoing. She ran track for Penn State and had a promising future ahead of her. Images she saw on her social networks; friends having fun enjoying life conflicted with the reality she was living. While everyone else life seemed to be perfect on Instagram, she could only wonder why hers wasn’t.
Madison passed from suicide in January 2014. ESPN did a special on her titled Split Image. This is a well put together documentary describing her ups and downs, thoughts and the effects her passing had on her family and friends.
